Neighborhoods: Deciding which Fresno neighborhood is right for you depends on your personality. North Fresno: North Fresno is the «small town» part of the city. Tower District: South of quiet, small-town North Fresno, but north of bustling downtown, is the unique little neighborhood of the Tower District. Arts District: Stuck in between downtown and the Tower District, the newly emerging Arts District is the upscale, artsy community of Fresno apartment living. Gated apartments, lofts, and live/work spaces abound in this area, which thrives on the arts community and is home to the city's museum, theaters, and performing arts centers. Many of the rentals here offer either garage or covered parking, and most others have open parking spaces.
